ADESSA congratulates one of its members, ITSI on winning the Supplier of the Year Award in the Basic Education category during the EduWeek 2017 awards event in Cape Town on 4 October 2017.
The EduWeek awards recognise excellence across the African education ecosystem.
ITSI’s platform provides a unique way of simplifying, enhancing and unifying a single point of entry for teachers and learners – irrespective of the origin and variety of content and actions they employ in order to achieve mastery. It has the additional advantage of making learner activities, such as engagement with textbooks, visible and transparent to teachers and parents.
The ITSI platform works within any education environment, with any content, on any device. It provides an easy to adopt approach to 21st century teaching and learning, without sacrificing the rigour associated with traditional teaching and learning.
Dr Lieb Liebenberg, founder and CEO at ITSI, commented:
We are delighted to have been honoured with this award. The teaching environment is increasingly fragmented in terms of the content and activities which teachers need to employ. The fragmentation stems from teachers having to use textbooks from different publishers, a variety of other printed and online resources, and a range of educational apps – the vast majority of which operate in silos. This is what we strive to overcome.
From being the first-mover in the South African market, ITSI has expanded to over 180 public and private schools, with more than 80,000 full-time users. The company also has an office in the UK, as well as one in the Middle East.
